There are 6 adult women on the Wheel. The Wheel had over 200 riders on it by the end of Burningman 2004. The largest rider was a 240 lb. footballer and the smallest was a 10-year old boy. Balancing riders' weights was paramount for the Wheel to function efficiently, though large and small riders could share the Wheel at the same time. One effect of large weight differences was that the larger riders dominated the inertial momentum of the whole Wheel, swinging the smaller riders around rather amusingly.
